Our Story
Turra's Backroom Archery was created in 2008 with a mission: To build a specialized, high quality archery store for the Redwood Empire area. Our desire to create a friendly, welcoming environment and to provide excellent customer service is what inspired us in the beginning and it continues to drive us today. Of course we make mistakes, sometimes get overwhelmed and once in a while things fall through the cracks, but we will always do our best to make things right. We strive to treat all our customers as family, building long term relationships. It is our focus to provide our customers with personalized service, helping to choose the gear best suited to their needs and bringing in an ever growing selection of new and innovative products as they hit the market. Bow Setup, Maintenance, Repair and Tuning
This is where the magic happens. There is so much more involved in bow set up and tuning than one would ever know. Today's bows are technological marvels, with perhaps the highest efficiency ratings of any machine on the planet. To get everything out of your bow that is possible, the proper adjustments and tuning are critical. Thankfully we have friendly, trained experts at your service with years of knowledge and experience built up through a variety of sources that you just can't find at most stores.
Fletching
Got a thing for certain colors? Or is your fletching getting a bit ragged? We offer custom fletching services or the equipment and supplies for those who want to roll their sleeves up and try it themselves!
Lessons
Lessons for anyone, at any level. We have something for the beginner to the Olympic hopeful. Our certified coaches range from the whimsical and fun oriented, to the serious and technical.
Low pressure Introduction to Archery group lessons are scheduled each Saturday morning. Private lessons are booked individually for one or more at a time. Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) programs are also available. Please call to make reservations.
